In the 15th
century, the turtle ships were deployed, and King Sejong the Great promulgated the Korean alphabet Hangul.
Other attractions highly recommended for visitors include the National Museum of Korea,
the National Gugak Center, the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts,
the Ho-Am Art Hall and Korea House.
Although the Korean language has been around for well over 1,500 years, it didn't have its own written version until the 1440s,
when King Sejong created Hangul, the Korean alphabet.
