Six new Drts have also been established in a bid to expedite recovery.
The trained NYKS Youth Volunteers will work as Drts and will be called as‘NDRF- friends'.
As per the Finance Ministry, the move is aimed at helping reduce pendency of cases in Drts.
Finance Ministry has stated that this move has been made to reduce pendency of cases in Drts.
The various channels through which lenders recovered their bad loans include the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code(IBC), SARFAESI Act,
debt recovery tribunals(Drts) and Lok Adalats.
The Ministry also
said that the network of Debt Recovery Tribunals(Drts) have been expanded to 39 at present,
as compared to 33 in 2016-17, which would help in reducing the pendency of cases and expedite their timely disposal.
