Seventh Day Adventists go one step further.
Currently, there are over 19 million people who are"Adventists.".
There turned out to be some Adventists among my acquaintances.
The Protestants are mainly Baptists, Pentecostals, Adventists, and other smaller groups.
So, what happens if Adventists accept both the doctrine and the context?
Seventh-day Adventists believe that"baptism symbolizes dying to self
and coming alive in Jesus.
Adventists hold that Daniel 8:
14 is“ a contextual island,” having nothing to do with the preceding verses.
Adventists believe that the‘ cleansed sanctuary' in Daniel
chapter 8 is the antitype of the‘ cleansed sanctuary' of Leviticus chapter 16.
Today, most Seventh-day Adventists still consider Ellen White to be a prophetess of God, even though
many of her prophecies failed to come true.
For example, Seventh Day Adventists, whose diets contain a lot of tofu,
demonstrate better cognitive functions than other groups of Americans in old age.
For some religions, Saturday is celebrated as the weekly day of rest,
known as the Shabbat in Judaism and Sabbath for Seventh Day Adventists.
This was the conclusion of a 2014
study which looked at three groups of 7th Day Adventists, a Christian denomination whose members abstain from meat eating.
Notably, for some religions, Saturday, not Sunday, is celebrated as the weekly day of rest,
known as the Shabbat in Judaism and Sabbath for Seventh Day Adventists.
The Adventists were also called Millerites because their group
was founded by William Miller, a false prophet who predicted Jesus would return in either 1843 or 1844.
