"Yeah yeah, I promise," he said, though his eyes betrayed his lack of sincerity.
"Yeah yeah, I understand the concept," he said, pretending to grasp the complex theory.
"Yeah yeah, I understand the consequences," she said defiantly.
"Yeah yeah, I understand the problem," he said dismissively.
"Yeah yeah, I'll be there if I can," he said evasively.
"Yeah yeah, I'll be there in five minutes," he lied smoothly.
"Yeah yeah, I'll believe it when I see it," she retorted.
"Yeah yeah, I'll consider your suggestion," he said, knowing he wouldn't.
"Yeah yeah, I'll do it later," he said, putting it off again.
"Yeah yeah, I'll get to it eventually," he mumbled, distracted.
"Yeah yeah, I'll think about it," she said vaguely.
"Yeah yeah, I'm almost there," he said, still miles away.
"Yeah yeah, I'm happy for you," she said, not sounding very convincing.
"Yeah yeah, I'm on my way," he texted, still lying in bed.
"Yeah yeah, I'm paying attention," he said, eyes glued to his phone.
"Yeah yeah, I'm sure it will be fun," he said without enthusiasm.
"Yeah yeah, I'm sure it'll all work out," she said unconvincingly.
"Yeah yeah, I'm sure that's true," she said dubiously.
"Yeah yeah, I'm sure that's what you want," he replied suspiciously.
"Yeah yeah, I'm sure you're right," he conceded begrudgingly.
"Yeah yeah, it's a classic," he said, trying to sound knowledgeable about the obscure film.
"Yeah yeah, it's fine," she said, trying to hide the tears welling up in her eyes.
"Yeah yeah, it's not a big deal," he said, trying to downplay the situation.
"Yeah yeah, it's under control," he assured her, despite the obvious chaos.
"Yeah yeah, that makes sense," she said, even though she was completely lost.
"Yeah yeah, that sounds great," he said, while thinking of a quick escape.
"Yeah yeah, that's a good idea," he said without enthusiasm.
"Yeah yeah, that's easy for you to say," she snapped back.
"Yeah yeah, that's how it is," he said with a shrug.
"Yeah yeah, that's just your opinion," she stated firmly.
"Yeah yeah, that's life," she said with a resigned sigh.
"Yeah yeah, that's what everyone tells me," she replied defensively.
"Yeah yeah, that's what she said," he replied with a smirk.
"Yeah yeah, that's what they all say," he said cynically.
"Yeah yeah, that's what you think," he replied cryptically.
"Yeah yeah, whatever helps you sleep at night," he muttered.
"Yeah yeah, whatever you say, boss," he responded with forced cheerfulness.
"Yeah yeah, whatever," she muttered under her breath as she walked away.
"Yeah yeah, you always say that," he pointed out wearily.
"Yeah yeah, you can count on me," she said with a doubtful tone.
"Yeah yeah, you can rely on me," he promised, but his eyes didn't meet hers.
"Yeah yeah, you're always right," she said, dripping with sarcasm.
"Yeah yeah, you're just saying that," she said accusingly.
"Yeah yeah, you're probably right," he conceded, even though he hated to admit it.
"Yeah yeah," he mumbled sarcastically, clearly not agreeing with her point.
