Savate is perhaps the only style of kickboxing
in which the fighters habitually wear shoes.
He also founded an eclectic martial arts style named Bartitsu which combined jujutsu, judo, wrestling,
boxing, Savate and stick fighting.
Savate(or French Boxing)
is a French martial art that started as street fights in Paris and eventually developed into a sport.
Over the years many boxing variations have
emerged, the most famous of which are Thai Muay Thai and French Savate, who are already using their legs.
One of the great BOOM's in popularity at Savate was when 1924 was included as a show sport(the Olympics were in Paris)
which made the world know Savate.
Savate(pronounced), also known as boxe française,
French boxing, French Kickboxing or French Footfighting, is a French martial art which uses both the hands and feet as weapons and combines elements of western boxing with graceful kicking techniques.
The Savate had its origin in France as I said in the eighteenth century,
which began to develop with the colonization and therefore the balance was a great base from the beginning due to being practiced on boats.
Europe is home to many extensive systems of martial arts, both living traditions(e.g. Jogo do Pau and other stick and
sword fencing and Savate, a French kicking style developed by sailors and street fighters)
and older systems of historical European martial arts that have existed through the present, many of which are now being reconstructed.
