Known as Osteophytes, these are small bony protrusions that can
irritate the joint and worsen pain.
The formation and development of an Osteophyte can be asymptomatic,
for example, if the cause was not permanent.
Flat feet- is the cause of the formation and growth of Osteophyte in 90% of all cases;
The formation and development of an Osteophyte may be asymptomatic,

Slipped discs are generally seen in younger people and
is not as common as the process of Osteophyte formation described above.
An excruciating pain
is caused by the resulting bone growth(Osteophyte)- a pointed spine up to 12 mm long,
compressing surrounding soft tissues.
Radiologist will appreciate the evenness of the contours of bones, the width of the gap between them,
determine the presence of Osteophytes- tubercles and outgrowths that can cause painful sensations.
