Neurodevelopmental disorders are impairments of the growth
and development of the brain or central nervous system.
Thus, we present protocols to rapidly and reproducibly assess these Neurodevelopmental processes in human iPSC-derived NPCs.
Most scientific and medical experts are satisfied that no connection exists between
vaccines and autism and other Neurodevelopmental disorders.
CMV is also the most common congenital infection passed from mother to child, leading to
significant birth defects, such as microcephaly, hearing loss and other Neurodevelopmental problems.
However, certain drugs may be considered for the management of co-existing psychiatric or Neurodevelopmental conditions
and may occasionally have a short-term adjunctive role in alleviating core symptoms of ASD.

This is despite the fact that autism can be defined as a lifelong Neurodevelopmental disorder- characterised by differences in social communication
and interaction with people and wider society- making it very much a label for people of all ages.
Until relatively recently, autism was regarded as uncommon and thought to be caused by bad parenting,
but we now know that autism is a Neurodevelopmental condition that occurs in about 1 in 59 people and
is not the result of parental behavior.
The average volumetric changes in these studies are however close to the limit of detection by MRI methods, so it remains to be determined whether schizophrenia is a neurodegenerative process that begins at about the time of symptom onset,
or whether it is better characterised as a Neurodevelopmental process that produces abnormal brain volumes at an early age.
