Who got pregnant after Hysteroscopy uterus polyp?
In some cases a Hysteroscopy is recommended.
Hysteroscopy can also be combined with laparoscopy when necessary.
Do you request a Hysteroscopy or are you offered it?
For a Hysteroscopy, your doctor will use a lighted tube
to view the uterus and remove the polyp.
Her physician“could do a Hysteroscopy at the time of egg collection” to see exactly how her womb looked.
You will probably need to have a colposcopy and
may need to have a small camera passed into the womb(called Hysteroscopy).
Thus a study that evaluated women with uterine bleeding by Hysteroscopy found that 6.5% of subjects displayed the arcuate uterus
and had evidence of reproductive impairments.
Nevertheless, for all women using hormonal contraception with unscheduled bleeding, if such a structural abnormality is suspected,
a transvaginal ultrasound scan and/or Hysteroscopy may be indicated.
If a tube is blocked and filled with fluid(called a hydrosalpinx),
then minimally invasive surgery(laparoscopy or Hysteroscopy) to either remove the tube or
block/separate it from the uterus prior to any fertility treatments is recommended.
In the future, you may need to conduct an ultrasound examination of the pelvic organs, a blood test for hormones, a cytological analysis,
sometimes Hysteroscopy and laparoscopic examination of the abdominal organs are sometimes required.
I have spoken with a Professor who said no point having a Hysteroscopy as I would had lots of scans over the years
and MRI for a fibroid(very small not an issue it turns out) just need reassurance that there is nothing else I can do before we go ahead with the transfer as this will probably be the last for us.
