There are two strengths of Flurbiprofen tablet available: 50 mg and 100 mg.
Flurbiprofen works by blocking the effect of chemicals in your body,
called cyclo-oxygenase(COX) enzymes.
Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use Flurbiprofen.
A single enantiomer of Flurbiprofen, tarenflurbil[(R)-Flurbiprofen], is currently in clinical
trials for the treatment of metastatic prostate cancer. 3.
If you miss a dose of Flurbiprofen and you are taking it regularly,
take it as soon as possible.
Before you take Flurbiprofen, let your doctor know if you have ever
had a bad reaction to any other anti-inflammatory painkiller.
This is so your doctor can check on your progress,
and is especially important if you are taking Flurbiprofen for a long-term condition.
As a guide, if you are taking Flurbiprofen for period pain, you will
be asked to take either 50 mg or 100 mg every 4-6 hours when needed.
If your doctor has recommended that you use another eye preparation as well as these drops then
wait at least five minutes after putting in the Flurbiprofen drops before you use the other drops.
