According to sources, DSP Davinder Singh may be brought to Delhi for interrogation.
DSP Davinder Singh had bagged the prestigious President's
Police Medal only on August 15 last year.
The initial interrogation has revealed that Davinder Singh had been assisting terrorists for quite some time.
The DGP said that following Davinder Singh's arrest, police had conducted
searches at nearly half a dozen places.
The office of Davinder Singh at Srinagar airport has already been sealed
so that nobody is able to tamper with evidence.
Saying that the special investigation team would also probe Davinder Singh's possible involvement in criminal acts in the past,
the DGP said:“We do not believe in sheltering anyone.
File photo of DSP Davinder Singh, who was arrested along with two terrorists whom he was
ferrying in a car in Kashmir Valley, a top police officer said on Sunday.
The reason Davinder Singh's arrest has sent shock waves up
and down the security establishment is because this was not the first time his connection with terrorists has cropped up.
New Delhi:
The arrest of Jammu and Kashmir deputy superintendent of police Davinder Singh, who was caught ferrying terrorists,
has not just opened up a can of worms but also triggered a political slugfest.
Her tweets came in the context of the January 11 arrest of Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP) Davinder Singh, who has been charged for allegedly
accompanying three dreaded terrorists in a vehicle.
The‘Mohammad' whom Afzal said Davinder had asked him to take to Delhi ended
up being one of the five terrorists who shot their way into the parliament precincts on December 13, 2001, killing nine people before being gunned down.
Or could it be that the intelligence and security brass knew Davinder had not acted alone and for a few rupees- that he was
part of some wider operation which obviously went horribly wrong and needed to be covered up?
