King Belshazzar of Babylon refused to honor Jehovah.
But Jehovah humbled proud Kings Nebuchadnezzar and Belshazzar.
I mean Belshazzar got drunk and the kingdom was lost.
In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.
So King Belshazzar became even more terrified and his face grew pale.
King Belshazzar put on a great festival for a thousand of his officials.
In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream.
You, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this.
Belshazzar wanted his royal people,
his wives and his women slaves to drink from those cups.
King Belshazzar wanted his royal people,
his wives, and his slave women to drink from those cups.
Therefore, king Belshazzar was quite confused,
and his face was altered, and even his nobles were disturbed.
King Belshazzar wanted his royal people,
his wives and his women slaves to drink from those cups.
The Medes and the Persians easily took the city, and Belshazzar did not live through the night.
That very night,
the Medo- Persian army conquered Babylon, and Belshazzar was killed. - Daniel 5: 30, 31.
Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords,
and drank wine before the thousand.
And that took place when“the Medes and Persians” captured the city,
killed Belshazzar, and ended the Neo-Babylonian Empire Dan.
Rembrandt's"Belshazzar's Feast," circa 1635-1638,
National Gallery in London, Room 24, based on the Biblical story in the Book of Daniel.
Belshazzar, king of Babylon,
was enjoying a sumptuous sacrilegious feast with a thousand of his grandees, concubines, and secondary wives. Suddenly,
How did Belshazzar display contempt for Jehovah,
the God of the Jews, as recorded at Daniel chapter 5, verses 3, 4?
In the first year of Belshazzar, king of Babylon,
Daniel saw a dream and a vision in his head on his bed.
Before the sun rose, Belshazzar was dead,
Babylon had fallen, and Medo- Persia had become the fourth great world power of Bible history!
When King Belshazzar threw his drunken brawl in Daniel chapter five,
he had no idea that he would be in Hell before sunrise.
Daniel further told Belshazzar:“ The God in whose hand your breath is
and to whom all your ways belong you have not glorified.”.
As a reward for interpreting the writing,
Daniel is promoted by King Belshazzar to the third highest position in the Babylonian kingdom(vs. 29).
And that very night, after Jehovah had taught
that haughty monarch this much- needed lesson, Belshazzar, the Chaldean king, was killed. - Daniel 5: 30.
But you, Belshazzar, his son,[d] have not humbled yourself, though you knew all this.23 Instead, you
have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven.
And you his son,[f] Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this, 23 but
you have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven.
But against the Lord of the heavens you exalted yourself.” That very night Belshazzar was killed,
and his kingdom was taken away from him. - Daniel 5: 22- 31.
AS REGARDS Belshazzar the king,” wrote the prophet Daniel,“ he made a big feast for a thousand of his grandees,
and in front of the thousand he was drinking wine.”.
