    Abasing(one party), exalting the other.

    It will abase(some) and exalt others.

    Some shall be abased and others exalted.

    The event will be Abasing some, and exalting some.

    Saith the Lord; not a man Abasing his soul;

    Thus they were vanquished there, and they went back abased.

    And WE delivered the Children of Israel from the Abasing torment.

    And abase me not on the day when they are raised.

    And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the Abasing chastisement.

    They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all.

    Indeed those who oppose Allah and His Apostle-they will be among the most abased.

    Those who oppose God and His Messenger will[on Judgement Day] be among the most abased.

    Those who oppose God and His Messenger will[on Judgement Day] be among the most abased.

    Surely(as for) those who are in opposition to Allah and His Apostle; they shall be among the most abased.

    She said:"When kings enter a city, they lay waste to it and make its mightiest inhabitants the most abased.

    Indeed when kings enter a town, they devastate it, and reduce the mightiest of its people to the most abased.

    We already seized them with the chastisement, yet they abased not themselves to their Lord nor were they humble;

    18

    But We wanted to be gracious to those abased in the land, and to make them leaders and inheritors.

    Surely(as for) those who are in opposition to Allah and His Apostle; they shall be among the most abased.

    Those that were abased will say to those that waxed proud,'Had it not been for you, we would have been believers.

    Whatever palm-tree you cut down or leave standing upon its roots, It is by Allah's command, and that He may abase the transgressors.

    Have I committed an offence in Abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?

    She said,'Kings, when they enter a city, disorder it and make the mighty ones of its inhabitants abased. Even so they too will do.

    Your Lord said:“Pray to Me, and I will accept your prayers. Surely those who wax too proud to worship Me shall enter Hell, utterly abased.”.

    And your Lord says: Call upon Me, I will answer you; surely those who are too proud for My service shall soon enter hell abased.

    And your Lord says: Call upon Me, I will answer you; surely those who are too proud for My service shall soon enter hell abased.

    Our Lord, give us what Thou hast promised us by Thy Messengers, and abase us not on the Day of Resurrection; Thou wilt not fail the tryst.

    And We desired to show favour to those who were abased in the land, and to make them imams, and to make them the heirs.

    Yet We desired to be gracious to those that were abased in the land, and to make them leaders, and to make them the inheritors.".

    Return thou to them; we shall assuredly come against them with hosts[forces] they have not power to resist, and we shall expel them from there, abased and utterly humbled.'".
