Spaceil, the company that built the lunar lander,
now wants to project.
Spaceil officials say that the data collected will
help scientists learn more about the creation of the moon.
As one of five finalists in the competition, Spaceil continued developing the lander that will fly today.
We came close but unfortunately didn't succeed with the landing process,”
said Israel nonprofit space company Spaceil in a tweet.
On Wednesday evening, Spaceil officials said that they hadn't decided if they will
execute the hop or not, given that the maneuver is inherently risky.
The preliminary technical information collected by the teams showed that the first technical
problem occurred 14 km above the Moon", Spaceil explained in a tweet.

Israel Aerospace Industries(IAI) and the nonprofit Spaceil today outlined plans to send up an unmanned
spacecraft that will make a lunar landing on February 13, 2019.
Dr. Ido Anteby, Spaceil CEO:“Spaceil,
in collaboration with IAI, is embarking on the final leg of its complex mission to land the first Israeli spacecraft on the moon.
Spaceil is definitely planning to use Beresheet
to carry out a scientific experiment to measure the magnetic field around it after landing and transmit the data back to Earth.
Spaceil's Beresheet lunar lander,
which was part of a privately-funded mission that would have made Israel the fourth country to successfully land on the Moon, faltered at the very last second.
Though the competition ended last year without a winner, Spaceil is now poised to be the first among nearly 30 teams to make
it to the moon on its own anyway.

that would turn Israel into the fourth country to successfully land on the Moon, failed in the last second.
