What, no Snarky comments?
Yes, some people get Snarky.
Okay, one more Snarky remark.
I don't need a Snarky sidekick.
With her Snarky words, This enchantress traps me now!
She is Snarky and doesn't let anyone run over her.
OK, so maybe I have been a bit Snarky today.
The family did not
crumble so she could hold a menial job at a coffee shop with a Snarky boss.
Maybe a friend leaves her husband, a coworker quits, your girlfriend unfriends you on Facebook,
or your teenager says something profound(but probably Snarky) about your marriage.
We wear a Snarky expression behind our boss's back, place
ironic distance between our company and ourselves, and we don't want to think we have become our parents.
Worse, some studies show that fact-checking-
especially when undertaken“uncongenially” or with a Snarky attitude(not that WaPo's was)- can backfire, and actually
drive partisans to believe the mistruth even more.
Translation: when you assume that everyone is going to agree with the stupid
rumor a peer is spreading, or concur with the Snarky comment your relative just made,
you anticipate shame and rejection.
