And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.
Shelah had something her father didn't….
Who was Shelah's father- Cainan or Arpachshad?
Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah.
But truly, Arphaxad conceived Shelah, from whom was born Eber.
She gave birth to another son and named him Shelah.
Judah was concerned that Shelah would be killed as well.
Because I did not give her to Shelah my son.
The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah;
Judah was afraid that Shelah also would die like his brothers.
Likewise, Shelah lived for thirty years, and then he conceived Eber.
Then she gave birth to one more son and
named him Shelah.
Judah was afraid that Shelah would also be killed like his brothers.
Besides, Judah was afraid that Shelah would die as his brothers did.
Judah, however, is afraid that Shelah will also die like his brothers.
She gave birth to yet another son and she called him Shelah.
Arpachshad became the father of Shelah. Shelah became the father of Eber.
Arpachshad became the father of Shelah, and Shelah became the father of Eber.
and called his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him.
And the sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zerah:
She yet again bore a son, and named him Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bore him.
Arpachshad lived four hundred three years after he became the father of Shelah, and became the father of sons and daughters.
And she yet again conceived, and bare a son;
and called his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him.
Judah acknowledged them, and said,"She is more righteous than I, because I didn't give her to Shelah, my son." He knew her again no more.
The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in
the land of Canaan. The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.
And changing her clothing, she sat at the crossroad that leads to Timnah, because Shelah had grown up, and she had not received him as a husband.
And the sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zerah:
but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.
And she put her widow's garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath;
for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife.
