Shaddock in A Sentence

    A large variety of fruit is produced, including the tamarind, mango, banana, pine-apple, guava, shaddock, fig, avocado-pear, litchi, custard-apple and the mabolo (Diospyros discolor), a fruit of exquisite flavour, but very disagreeable odour.

    Among fruit trees, besides the wild fruits already mentioned, are the pineapple, mango, papua, guava, grenadilla, rose apple, custard apple, soursop, loquat, naartje, shaddock and citrous fruits.

    The name Shaddock is asserted to be that of a captain who introduced the tree to the West Indies.

    The shaddock is to be found only in the lower plains.

    These, however, include the orange, mango, mangosteen, shaddock, guava and the durian.
