and viruses and bacteria belong to pathogens.
While the paper focused primarily on illnesses that bacteria, viruses,
parasitic worms, and Protozoans trigger, they also theorized that other situations-
such as injuries, poisoning, and chronic degenerative diseases- may present similar adaptive problems.
