Pantoprazole Sodium Lyophilized injection.
Pantoprazole can be taken before or after food, although
taking it before food is preferable.
If you have been prescribed Pantoprazole, take it exactly as your doctor tells you to.
You may need to take Pantoprazole for a day or so to control your symptoms.
A typical course of treatment lasts
for one or two weeks if you are taking Pantoprazole for Helicobacter pylori eradication.
For all other reasons for taking Pantoprazole, your treatment will last for as long as is
necessary to control your symptoms.
On 8 February 2012, three batches of the proton-pump inhibitor Pantoprazole were recalled in the Netherlands due to the presence of impurities.
If you are taking Pantoprazole on a long-term basis your doctor will want
to review your treatment at least once a year to make sure it is still right for you.
