including the fingers, represents approximately 1% of the patient's body surface.
When the recommended therapeutic dose is exceeded, carotenodermia develops- accumulation of beta-carotene in the skin, which gives it a characteristic yellow color,
which is more pronounced on the Palmar surface of the hands and the sole of the feet.
