The Gospel writers Matthew, Mark, and Luke apparently refer to Nathanael by the name Bartholomew.
In fact, Nathanael was moved to say to Jesus:“ You are the Son of God,

as well as Philip and his friend Nathanael also came to recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
