Laban then fed all of them.
Jacob heard what Laban's sons were saying.
Laban said,"Behold, let it be according
to your word.
Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said,
He said to them,"Do you know Nahor's grandson Laban?"?
And Laban called it Jegar-sahadutha: but Jacob called it Galeed.
Laban called it Jegar Sahadutha, but Jacob called it Galeed.
So Jacob stayed and worked for Laban for seven years.
On the third day Laban was told that Jacob had fled.
When Laban heard that Jacob had fled, he came after them.
Laban said,“This heap is a witness between you and me today.”.
And on the third day Laban was told that Jacob had fled.
On the third day Laban was told that Jacob had run away.
Laban does say to Jacob, you are my flesh and my bone.
Laban said to him, Surely you are my bone and my flesh.
Laban said to Jacob,“This pile of rocks will remind us of our agreement.”.
And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid.
Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.
(22) It was told Laban on the third day that Jacob had fled.
But Laban was wrong,
for Jehovah was with Jacob. - Genesis 30: 25- 36.
In time, though, Laban tried to exploit Jacob, changing his wages ten times!
Laban said,“This pile of stones is a witness between you and me today.”.
Laban said to Jacob,“This pile of rocks will
be a reminder for both of us.”.
GEN 29:14 Laban said to him, Surely you are my bone and my flesh.
Laban said,‘It's better that I give her to you than to some other man.
(22) Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.
Laban said,"This heap is witness between me
and you this day." Therefore it was named Galeed.
Laban said to Jacob,“Even if you are my kinsman,
should you work for me for nothing?
And so those that arrived late became Laban's, and those that arrived first became Jacob's.
