area was administered under Taihoku Prefecture together with modern-day Taipei, Keelung and Yilan County.
If you are travelling to Ishigaki, Miyako, Keelung or Kaohsiung you can take the weekly ferry service,
which operates between Taiwan and Okinawa.

an eastern district, designated as Kinkaseki, and a western district, designated as Kyūfun.
