Festus watched her open it.
Festus, however, was motivated by concern for his ailing wife.
And when Festus gave the order, Paul was brought in.
The newly appointed governor, Festus, had arranged for the meeting.
But Festus questioned the validity of the charges against Paul.
And when Festus gave the command, Paul was brought in.
The Jews came to Festus and asked for a“favor,” literally,“grace,” for Paul(Acts 25:3).
Festus answered,"Paul is being held at Caesarea,
and I myself am going there soon.
At the command of Festus, the Christian apostle Paul was brought into their presence.
Festus then, having arrived in the province,
three days later went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea.
Festus explained that the accusers disputed Paul's assertion
that“ a certain Jesus who was dead… was alive.”.
Festus therefore, having come into the province, after three days went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea.
Then Festus, having spoken with the council,
responded:“You have appealed to Caesar, to Caesar you shall go.”.
But Festus replied that Paul should be kept at Caesarea,
and that he himself was going there shortly.
And this he did with such power that Festus cried out,“Paul… much learning doth make
thee mad”(Acts 26:24).
Because of his plan to replace the money as quickly as possible, Festus viewed his action as borrowing.
Unable to understand the resurrection and amazed at Paul's conviction, Festus said:“ Great learning is driving you into madness!”.
The brave Apostle replied,“I am not mad,
most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness”(Acts 26:25).
The US Embassy to introduced the game to Sri Lanka on the request of former Minister Hon, Festus Perera.
While Paul was saying this in his defense, Festus said in a loud voice,"Paul, you are
out of your mind!
Festus quickly made arrangements, likely wondering
what the king would think of this unique prisoner.- Acts 24: 27- 25: 22.
But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.
Of what legal provision
did Paul avail himself when he appeared before Festus, and what parallel do you find in this?
AT CAESAREA in 58 C. E., Roman Governor Porcius Festus was visited by King Herod Agrippa II
and his sister Bernice.
However Festus answered that Paul should be kept in custody at Caesarea,
and that he himself was about to depart shortly.
But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix' room:
and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.
As he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice,"Paul,
you are crazy! Your great learning is driving you insane!
Festus, who cared for the contributions and accounts in
a congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in West Africa, was in desperate need of money.
As he stayed there many days, Festus laid Paul's case before the king, saying,"There is
a certain man left a prisoner by Felix;
Finally, Paul demanded of the next governor, Festus, that his case be heard by Caesar.
