Such criticism implies no friction between Paul and Apollos, however.

Perhaps Paul had his misgivings about some in Corinth but certainly not about Apollos.
The message preached by Paul and Apollos was the same, but they had different personalities.

Paul was“ unskilled in speech”; Apollos, on the other hand, was“ eloquent.”.
For when one says,"I am of Sha'ul," and
another"I am of Apollos," are you not fleshly?
Apollos was a Jewish Christian who was“ well
versed in the Scriptures” and“ aglow with the spirit.”.
Apollos put himself at the service of the congregation,
encouraging the brothers by his preparation and zeal.
Like Paul, the Corinthians held Apollos in great esteem, desiring to receive another visit from him.
Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.
In harmony with Paul's example, Priscilla and Aquila helped Apollos to understand Christian teachings more correctly.
Some were viewing Apollos as their leader, while others favored Paul
or Peter or held only to Christ.
The church at Corinth was split into two
factions- those who followed Paul, and those who followed Apollos.
Both Paul and Apollos had done much good in planting
and watering the seed of Kingdom truth in Corinth.
And what can we learn from the efforts of Priscilla and Aquila to discuss the Scriptures with Apollos?
We do not know exactly why some in Corinth
were saying,“ I belong to Paul” or,“ I to Apollos.”.
Apollos traveled through Achaia and eventually found his way to Corinth(Acts 19:1),
where he“watered” where Paul had“sown”(1 Corinthians 3:6).
For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
