Joab was the commander of Israel's entire army.
But Joab would not come to him.
But Joab built the rest of the city.
But Joab returned to Jerusalem to the king.
Joab repaired the other parts of the city.
When Joab heard about this, he was afraid.
Amasa was not watching the sword in Joab's hand.
Joab was captain of the whole army of Israel.
Joab was the captain of the armies of David.
Then Joab told the wise woman what to say.
Joab gave the list of the people to the king.
Your servant Joab did tell me to say these things.
But Amasa did not notice the sword that Joab had.
So Joab blew the trumpet and the army left the city.
Your servant Joab did this to change the way things look.
Joab sent to Tekoa and brought from there a wise woman.
Joab did not have to stab Amasa again;
he was already dead.
But Amasa did not observe the sword that was in Joab's hand.
But Amasa did not notice the sword that was in Joab's hand.
Then Joab and his brother Abishai pursued Sheba, the son of Bichri.
Joab sent someone to Tekoa to get a wise woman from there.
But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in Joab's hand.
So he sent Joab out with the entire army of Israel's fighting men.
Every man to his tent and Joab returned to Jerusalem to the king.
And Joab returned from the sons of Ammon, and he went to Jerusalem.
Ten young men who bore Joab's armor surrounded and struck Absalom, and killed him.
Joab plunged his dagger into his cousin's belly, and I
was right there with him.
And ten young men that bare Joab's armour compassed about and smote Absalom, and slew him.
And David sent to Joab, saying, Send me Uriah the Hittite.
And Joab sent Uriah to David.
