The Rectus muscles-- where your six-pack would be--
go out during pregnancy and childbirth.
In this way, the lateral Rectus muscles are relatively strengthened
and they can turn the eyes farther outward.
The separation of your left and right Rectus muscles is also a common medical
condition called diasteses recti.
In this condition, there is unilateral or bilateral lateral Rectus activity during adduction and reduced activity in abduction.
The oculomotor nerve controls all the muscles that move the eye except for the lateral Rectus and superior oblique muscles.
This is caused by co-contraction of the extraocular muscles(especially the medial recti), resulting in a jerk nystagmus induced
by optokinetic stimulation downwards.
Define the lower portion of the Rectus abdominis(your six-pack muscle)
with a Swiss-ball reverse crunch, but instead of doing the move on the floor, hop on a bench.
Also avoid any exercises that cause the belly to'cone', like planks and crunches,
as this can increase the risk of diastasis recti post-pregnancy, which is a significant separation of the abdominal muscles.".
