Exmar said this month the FSRU was at a shipyard being modified.
Belgian shipping firm Exmar said in May that Gunvor had chartered
its small FSRU for 10 years.
Exmar's FLNG barge will be named Tango FLNG
and be deployed to the port of Bahia Blanca.
Exmar's new very large gas carriers
will feature Wärtsilä technology that enables them to operate on LPG fuel.
Currently, the FSRU has been fully paid by Exmar and the financing of the unit is under discussion.
The unique FLNG technology developed by Exmar is the result of innovative leadership
and more than 40 years of experience in the LNG and LPG industry.
The FSRU is the first, new built regasification barge in the world,
built on a speculative basis by Exmar, and the FSRU was able to obtain a long-term
contract prior to her delivery from the yard.
Wärtsilä has worked closely with Exmar Group for many years,
and we are proud they have selected such a broad scope of our products, which have been combined into a smart marine solution for this new generation of LPG carriers.
