As a cherry on top, Vyew also supports webcams.
Me(and Vyew) can sometimes look like a poorly compressed JPEG.
But overall, for recurring meetings or ongoing projects, Vyew wins with its persistent workspaces.
Launched in January 2008 and staffed by about 10 employees, Vyew does feel a bit shaky on paper.
But with Vyew, you can have a room where all your stuff- your comments,
your chat logs, your slides- are still there.
But if you would like to invite participants to interact with your presentation,
and if VoIP is important to you, Vyew is for you.
Both services give you a free conference call line and
chat box, but Vyew's is a bit more full-featured and,
more importantly, they offer a VoIP line.
But Vyew has been at this a long time,
and they are reaching out to enterprise clients and also have some good market opportunities in the education sector.
If you install Vyew from the Google Chrome Web Store,
that's only a one-step process, but it's still one more step than it takes to accomplish the same with Join.
And at the end of the day, there is a lot of“stuff” in Vyew- all of it useful in the right situation,
but if you're not going to be putting it to good use, then it just gets in the way.
