Trebek is philosophical about his chances,
and said death doesn't frighten him.
Back in May, Trebek quoted doctors as saying his tumor was
shrinking at a“mind-boggling” pace.
Even though the overall survival rate for
pancreatic cancer is just 9%, Trebek responded well to chemotherapy.
In his interview with GMA, Trebek said he has sometimes been in“excruciating pain”
and often suffers from fatigue.
It turns out Trebek had a nasty fall a few months ago,
which led to a subdural hematoma.
And in an interview on Friday with Canadian television network CTV, Trebek said he's still on the job- but some days are tough.
News pointed out, Trebek is not only a true professional,
but a real trooper when it comes to hosting the show despite health issues.
With Alex Trebek's recent announcement that his pancreatic cancer is in remission,
many people have wondered if this difficult cancer is now easier to treat.
On the day after a chemo treatment,
his vision“gets messed up a little,” Trebek told the network,
and another day later joint pain can set in.
Trebek married twice-
to Elaine Callei in 1974(the marriage lasted seven years) and then to Jean Currivan in 1990, with whom he had two children, Emily and Matthew.
