Tobiah sent letters to make me afraid.
Tobiah told his father that.
So Tobiah sent letters to make me afraid.
My God, Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works,
When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite,
But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite,
But it happened that when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabians, the Ammonites,
but he pronounced this prophecy against me. Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.
and reported my words to him. Tobiah sent letters to put me in fear.
therefore I cast forth all the household stuff of Tobiah out of the chamber.
and uttered my words to him. And Tobiah sent letters to put me in fear.
but that he pronounced this prophecy against me: for Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.
The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred fifty and two.
It grieved me severely: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff of Tobiah out of the room.
And it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff of Tobiah out of the chamber.
Then too, Tobiah, an Ammonite, his assistant,
said:“Let them build. When the fox climbs, he will leap over their stone wall.”.
I discerned, and behold, God had not sent him;
but he pronounced this prophecy against me. Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.
and understood the evil that Eliashib had done for Tobiah, in preparing him a room in the courts of God's house.
Also they reported his good deeds before me, and uttered my words to him. And Tobiah sent letters to put me in fear.
Also they spoke of his good deeds before me, and reported my words to him. Tobiah sent letters to put me in fear.
and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God.
But also, in those days,
many letters were being sent by the nobles of the Jews to Tobiah, and were arriving from Tobiah to them.
Tobiah the Ammonite(Nehemiah 2:19)
was possibly a governor of the region under Persian rule, but the inhabitants were a mix of Ammonites, Arabs, and others.
And, lo, I perceived that God had not sent him;
but that he pronounced this prophecy against me: for Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.
Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and
he said,"What they are building, if a fox climbed up it, he would break down their stone wall.
And I came to Jerusalem,
and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God.
Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and
he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.
My God, Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works,
and also the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets, that would have put me in fear.
When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite,
heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly, because a man had come to seek the welfare of the children of Israel.
