This is known as Vastu Purusha Mantra.
In yoga it is called the Purusha- the untouchable, unbreakable soul.
Recitation of Vastu Purusha Mantra brings peace and harmony in the house.
A thousand head has the Purusha, a thousand eyes, a thousand feet.
The Purusha, when it identifies itself with nature, forgets that
it is pure and infinite.
This Purusha is all that yet hath been and all that is to be;
Those Hindus who prefer clear and
accurate definitions to vague allusions call the soul Purusha, which means man, because it is the living element in the existing world.
An alternate explanation is that the word'Shudra' does not occur anywhere else in the Rig-veda except the Purusha Sukta,
leading some scholars to believe the Purusha Sukta was a composition of the later Rig-vedic
period itself to denote, legitimise and sanctify an oppressive and exploitative class structure that had already come into existence then.
