Well, thanks to citizen Petrenko.
Petrenko's lab is dedicated to understanding how both natural
and human-made greenhouse gases respond to climate change.
In this case, Petrenko and collaborators, studied past atmospheric records
using ice cores extracted from Taylor Glacier in Antarctica.
In order to better understand
the natural and anthropogenic components of fossil methane, Petrenko and his team turned to the past.
Researcher Vitalij Ivanovich Petrenko wrote:“ The use of images and its tradition comes from
well before the Christian era and had an‘ ancestry in paganism.'”.
The ancient air samples reveal that these kinds of scenarios regarding natural methane emissions are not as
important to take into account for future planning,” Petrenko says.
Svetlana Petrenko from Russia's Investigative Committee said that man was drunk
and said that he had a weapon which he would use to break into the cockpit.
If the natural geologic methane emissions are lower than expected, the anthropogenic fossil methane
emissions must be higher than expected- Petrenko estimates by 25 percent or more.
Svetlana Petrenko, a spokesperson for Russia's Investigative Committee, said in a
statement that only 37 out of 78 people on board had survived, meaning 41 people had lost their lives.
