Patreon‘s crowdfunding model is very
different than most crowdfunding sites.
Let me tell you why I have started a Patreon.
Patreon, probably due to its short history, has much fewer tools.
This is not surprising given that Patreon is a much younger site.
Some people worry that we are reviewing content not posted on Patreon.

There was buzz over the fact that Brianna's Patreon total had a $10,000 drop.
Indiegogo and Kickstarter both offer email support for campaigners, which Patreon does not offer.
Nonetheless, it's not surprising Patreon's number is much lower since the site
is much newer.
Here's an example artist on Patreon who currently is raising $34,000 per item she produces.
If you answered yes to any of these questions Patreon is the site for you.
Since Patreon allows recurring pledges,
creators and their campaigns do not become inactive the way other sites do.
If Indiegogo, Kickstarter, or Patreon aren't for you, there are a few other product-related, rewards-based crowdfunding options.
As you will see, tools is an area where Patreon lags the most from Indiegogo and Kickstarter.
We want to show our support
and, besides promoting your game, we want to promote your Patreon as well!
It would end up being one of the few things Wu actually writes about to their Patreon supporters.
This recent purge started with Patreon, which was documented by Nick Monroe on Twitter,
and now it's escalated to SubscribeStar.
Patreon has a tight knit community,
as evidenced by its vocal backers and fast growth in a short amount time.
Recurring Pledges- Patreon is the only one of our three crowdfunding sites which allows monthly
and per unit recurring pledges.
At 36 million visits per month Patreon can hold its head high,
actually beating Indiegogo despite it being a much newer site.
