Nijalingappa, Karnataka's Fourth Chief Minister, was a student of Thotadappa hostel during the years 1921-1924.
In an interview, Nijalingappa recalled that his"father's ancestors were all rich profligates"
and that they"dissipated their wealth on gambling, drinking and womanising.
