What is Myxedema and how is it treated?
Myxedema is a red,
swollen rash that is characteristic of thyroid problems.
It is linked with such conditions as lipedema, lymphedema, and Myxedema.
Liothyronine is
a synthetic form of thyroid hormone(T3) used to treat hypothyroidism and Myxedema coma.
There is a Myxedema- mucinous edema(in the connective tissue hyaluronic acid accumulates,
which"pulls" the liquid on itself),
Myxedema does not have a vivid symptomatology
and proceeds in a latent form, so it is difficult to diagnose.
The earlier disruptions in the functioning of the endocrine system,
the more severe the consequences of Myxedema, which develops in the child.
