Manekshaw presented the“military situation”
and suggested the Indian forces be moved there.
I was reading an old
interview with the celebrated Army officer Sam Manekshaw.
She was married to Times of India's photographer and accountant Manekshaw Jamshetji Vyarawalla.
Ours is not a biopic,
because it does not chronologically just record Sam Manekshaw's life.
Sam Manekshaw was decorated with a Military Cross(MC) for his exemplary courage
during this period.
Please tell that Manekshaw played an important role in many operations including the 1971 war.
It' s also true Indira
Gandhi finally ordered General Sam Manekshaw' s men to" liberate" East Pakistan.
Apart from his great leadership qualities and military expertise, Manekshaw was also known for his quick wit.
Manekshaw passed away in 2008 at the age of 94,
and has been honoured all over the country.
Her career soared after her marriage to Manekshaw Vyarawalla, an accountant and photographer for The Times of India.
A badass army officer, Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw has served India in the best way possible
and will always be remembered for his contributions.
During this war, Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw was handed over the responsibility of this war
and he showed is incomparable skills that lead to the victory of India.
In 1986, he was awarded the five-star rank of field marshal,
the highest honour in the Indian Army(Sam Manekshaw is the only other officer to have held it).
During World War II Captain Sam Manekshaw, Indian Army(who eventually rose to the rank of Field Marshal),
was leading a counter-offensive operation against the invading Japanese Army in Burma.
By the end of April 1971, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had asked the
Indian Army chief General Sam Manekshaw if he was ready to go to war with Pakistan.
Before the India-Pakistan war of 1971, when Indira Gandhi asked Manekshaw if the Army was ready for a war against the rivals,
he told her about the inevitable defeat if India attacked East Pakistan untimely.
