Although the operation is successful, some German units, including the Panzer Lehr division, manage to escape destruction.
The architects who participated in 1867 were Hansen, Lehr, Ferstel and Hasenauer, all of whom worked in Vienna.
In 1871, Henry Solomon Lehr, with support from the community,
founded the Northwestern Ohio Normal School as a teacher training institution.
