When they withdrew, they left Joash badly wounded.
When the Arameans withdrew, they left Joash severely wounded.
On that day Joash gave Gideon a new name.
Joash king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah,
He was buried in the tomb that Joash, his father,
Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah,
And when the Arameans had withdrawn, they left Joash severely wounded.
Joash defeated him three times, and recovered the cities of Israel.
Then Joash spoke to the crowd that was standing around him.
Joash attacked him three times and regained the cities of Israel.
And Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah,
And Joash the king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah,
Three times Joash defeated him, and he recovered the towns of Israel.
Three times did Joash smite him, and recovered the cities of Israel.
It happened after this, that Joash intended to restore the house of Yahweh.
And so Joash, the king of Israel, ascended, and they presented themselves within the sight of one another.
And later Joash was taken to the temple,
where he stayed in hiding for six years(2 Kings 11:1- 3).
And it came to pass after this, that Joash was minded to repair the house of the LORD.
However, Joash the son of Ahaziah was taken by the king's daughter
and hidden so the bloodline would be preserved.
In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz
king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah.
And Jokim, and the men of Cozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who had dominion in Moab,
and Jashubilehem. The records are ancient.
From that day, Gideon was called Jerubbaal, because Joash had said,“Let Baal avenge himself against him who has overturned his altar.”.
In the second year of Joash son of Joahaz
king of Israel began Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah to reign.
Joash slept with his fathers; and Jeroboam sat on his throne: and Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
And Jokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who had the dominion in Moab,
and Jashubi-lehem. And these are ancient things.
In the thirty-seventh year of Joash king of Judah, Jehoash the
son of Jehoahaz began to reign over Israel in Samaria for sixteen years.
And Joash slept with his fathers; and Jeroboam sat upon his throne: and Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
They said one to another,"Who has done this thing?" When they inquired and asked,
they said,"Gideon the son of Joash has done this thing.
After six years, the high priest Jehoiada set soldiers around the temple and
openly crowned the child Joash as the legal king of the land.
Gideon the son of Joash died in a good old age,
and was buried in the tomb of Joash his father, in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
