    Abortions can be considered as a murder in the literal sense of killing a person only if they are performed after the first four months of pregnancy and in all other cases i.e. those performed during the first four months of pregnancy are called as“Hatya” only in a metaphorical sense to denote how the Jivas, who were supposed to take physical birth were denied that opportunity.
