So they prostrated except Iblis refused/hated.
They fell prostrate except for Iblis: he refused.
So they prostrated except Iblis.
Iblis is the name of the Devil.
And the hosts of Iblis, all together.
God asked Iblis,"What made you not join the others in prostration?
Iblis said:"My Lord! Grant me respite till the
Day when they will be resurrected.
Iblis said:"O my Lord! give me then respite
till the Day the(dead) are raised.
Iblis said:"O my Lord! give me then respite till
the Day the(dead) are raised.
But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers.
But not Iblis; he acted arrogantly and he was one of the faithless.
Iblis did not listen and do what Allah said,
He did not obey Allah.
Al-Hijr 15:36(Iblis) said:"O my Lord! give me
then respite till the Day the(dead) are raised.".
Iblis said,‘O my Lord, give me respite then
until the day the dead are raised.'.
Except Iblis(father of the jinn) who refused to be one of those who prostrated themselves.
Iblis! What is the matter with you that you did not join those who prostrated?
He said:'Iblis, what is the matter with you, that you do you not prostrate yourself?
When We said to the angels,‘Prostrate before Adam,' they prostrated, but not Iblis: he refused.
And when We commanded the angels,“Prostrate before Adam”- so they all prostrated, except Iblis; he refused.
Iblis said:"I am better than he:
thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay.
Iblis' made his guess true to them;
and all except for a party of believers followed him.
Said Iblis,“I am better than him;
You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!”.
Iblis proved true his opinion of them, and they followed him, except a party of the believers.
(Iblis) said:"Then, my Lord, grant me respite till the
Day when they will all be raised from the dead!".
Said Iblis,“I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!”.
Iblis found his estimate of them to be true,
and they followed him, except a party of the believers.
Certainly Iblis had his conjecture come true about them.
So they followed him-all except a part of the faithful.
Iblis(satan) made his judgment about them to come true. They all followed them except a believing group among them.
(Iblis) said,‘Then, O my Lord, grant me a respite
until the day when all shall be raised from the dead!'.
Iblis was correct in his assessment of them and they followed him, except for a group of the believers.
