In 1964, Budd Hopkins believed he saw a UFO in Cape Cod.
He spent the last days of his literary career
writing prose and his last work Billy Budd, Foretopman was not published until after his death.
During his final years Melville did return to writing prose,
and completed the novel"Billy Budd," which was not published until 1924,
several decades after his death.
In 1882, Doyle joined former classmate George Turnavine Budd as his partner at a medical practice in Plymouth,
but their relationship proved difficult, and Doyle soon left to set up an independent practice.
Melville completed Billy Budd, the story of a sailor who accidentally kills his master
after being provoked by a false charge, in April of 1891, and five months later he died, on September 28 in New York City.
