As for restaurant takeout or doggie bags, Beltran suggests requesting paper products or bringing your own,
BPA-free containers.
When it comes to disposable plastic containers, watch out for wear and tear, which
can increase the chance of bacterial growth, says Beltran.
Beltran says that while plastic bottles containing BPA
are usually fine for a single use- after that, they should be discarded, because BPA can begin leaching into the contents.
