National park officials reported Ashfall at the top of Irazú.
Intermittent small-to-moderate gas-and-ash eruptions have continued,
occasionally producing Ashfall in neighboring towns and villages.
The temple complex was closed from 5 to 9 November to clean up the Ashfall.
Pictures of local areas posted on social media showed the continuing and
significant Ashfall on the island.
A news article from 1 November noted that significant Ashfall had covered crops,
and the water supplies for an estimated 11,500 people had been contaminated.
Ash-rich clouds that rose 1.5 km above the crater drifted NW,
causing Ashfall in most parts of Rabaul town
and in areas between Toliap and Nonga(10 km NW).
An online tool that
allowed residents to note if they had observed Ashfall during 31 October-4 November showed a dispersion
pattern in the Central Valley W and NW of Turrialba.
On 12 April news articles noted that Ashfall had affected the N part of Ambae, with photos
showing thick Ashfall deposits on houses and agricultural land, and reports of contaminated water supplies.
